Office Disinfection & Sanitizing Services in Bozeman

Disinfection works best when it's targeted, done correctly, and paired with good routine cleaning. Exec U Care Services adds sanitizing and disinfection to recurring janitorial plans for Bozeman offices and commercial buildings. The focus is on the surfaces people actually touch, with the right product used the right way.

Cleaning, sanitizing and disinfecting are different

Public-health guidance separates the three:

  • Cleaning removes dirt and most germs from surfaces with soap or detergent.

  • Sanitizing reduces the germs that remain after cleaning.

  • Disinfecting kills germs left on a surface after cleaning.

According to the CDC's facility cleaning guidance, regular cleaning is enough in most situations, and disinfection makes sense where someone has been sick or in high-traffic areas. Surfaces should always be cleaned first, because dirt makes disinfectants less effective. We follow that approach rather than spraying everything.

What we disinfect

  • High-touch points: door handles and push plates, light switches, elevator buttons, railings, faucet and flush handles.

  • Shared equipment: break-room appliance handles, copier and printer panels, conference-room tables, shared phones and keyboards (following the equipment maker's instructions; see our keyboard cleaning post).

  • Restrooms: fixtures, partitions and dispensers (see restroom cleaning).

  • Areas where someone was ill, on request.

Done by the label

A disinfectant only works if it's used as directed. We choose products from EPA's lists of registered disinfectants suited to the surface, and we keep the surface wet for the full contact time on the label. Products are never mixed, and every container is labeled. Our team is trained on the hazards and protective equipment listed on each product's Safety Data Sheet, as required by OSHA's Hazard Communication standard. Where it's appropriate, we choose lower-impact products. See green cleaning.

Following CDC guidance, we don't rely on fogging or wide-area spraying as a primary method unless the product label specifically allows it.

When Bozeman offices ask for extra disinfection

  • Cold and flu season, which in Bozeman runs through the long indoor months of winter

  • After a known illness in the office

  • Back-to-school season, when germs come home and then come to work (see our back-to-school post)

  • Before or after events, open houses and holiday parties

You can add disinfection to every visit, or schedule it seasonally or on request. Because we're always open, we can usually fit it in outside your business hours.

Part of a complete cleaning plan

Disinfection isn't a substitute for regular cleaning. It works on top of it. Most clients add it to an existing office cleaning or janitorial contract. Healthcare settings have their own requirements; see medical office cleaning.

Protecting surfaces and equipment

Disinfectants can damage some materials if used carelessly: certain plastics, finished wood, electronics and natural stone. We check each surface before choosing a product, apply it to a cloth rather than spraying electronics directly, and follow the equipment maker's cleaning instructions where they exist. The goal is a healthier office without cloudy screens, faded finishes or sticky residue on desks. If your office has specific surfaces or equipment you're worried about, point them out at the walkthrough and we'll note them in your plan.
